NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 28, 2015) — Bridgestone Americas' Speedco subsidiary has donated its former Cayuga, Ind., headquarters to the Valley Professionals Community Health Center (VPCHC).
According to Bridgestone, VPCHC plans to convert the building into a “beacon that provides high-quality health and social services for residents of northern Vermillion County.” The 19,000-sq.-ft. facility will allow the center to increase its capacity and serve more people in the local community.
“The people of Cayuga and Vermillion County were paramount to the success of Speedco during the early origins of the company,” Speedco President Scott Damon said. “This community has always supported Speedco, and we are delighted to return the favor today by donating our former headquarters building to two very worthy causes.”
Speedco, an indirect subsidiary of Bridgestone, is a provider of on-highway truck lubrication and routine tire services to commercial truck owner-operators and fleets. The firm has 51 on-highway locations across the U.S. It previously was a subsidiary of Bandag Inc., which was acquired by Bridgestone.
