STOW, Ohio (Sept. 25, 2015) — Dick Cepek Tires & Wheels has launched a rebranding campaign that includes a mobile-friendly website with enhanced social platforms, new logos, apparel and a variety of marketing elements.
A bold color scheme is the centerpiece of the rebranding, which is representative of the outdoors and natural landscapes, the company said. The redesigned logo features a more modern font and a focus on both the Dick Cepek name and the brand's primary product lines.
Stow-based Dick Cepek Tires, a subsidiary of Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., said the new website offers a user-friendly experience and easy access to comprehensive product information along with new photos, new video content, an event schedule, the latest news, etc.
It also includes an enhanced “Where to Buy” feature to help consumers find a local dealer and a “Buy Now” feature.
“Dick Cepek was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed family camping, hunting and fishing trips that would often take him off road,” said Ken Warner, vice president of marketing for Cepek.
“That's the spirit that founded this brand and it is important for us to convey that.”
Specialty tire and accessories marketer Dick Cepek Tires was established in 1958 by Mr. Cepek.
In early 2000, following its liquidation after bankruptcy, Cepek's longtime competitor, fellow Stow-based Max-Trac Tire Co. Inc., which does business as Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels, acquired Cepek's assets for an undisclosed amount and resurrected its well-known product lines. Then in 2003 Cooper purchased Max-Trac and, along with it, Dick Cepek.
