Initiated in 2010, the Michelin Supplier Awards distinguish global suppliers that stand out regarding their commitment with the tire maker and, Repsol said, that “share the vision to drive greater common competitiveness and innovation for the future. For General Química, this award is the result of the genuine partnership that unites the two companies over the last 30 years.”
The awards were presented Sept. 17 to the winners at a ceremony in Clermont-Ferrand, at the Parc des Sports Marcel-Michelin, chaired by Jean-Dominique Senard, Group Michelin CEO, and several members of the company's executive council.
During his acceptance speech, Juan Carlos Ruiz, Repsol's executive director for chemicals, said it was an honor to have been selected from among a large number of suppliers, and conveyed gratitude on behalf of all General Química's employees.
Repsol, in its integrated chemical activity, manufactures and markets in more than 95 countries a wide variety of products, ranging from base petrochemicals to derivatives.
