ALLENTOWN, Pa. (Sept. 17, 2015) — MAM Software Inc. redesigned the tire display in its OpenWebs B2B e-commerce software with a responsive design for easier searching and ordering on mobile devices.
OpenWebs' tire display will be MAM's first catalog to feature responsive design, the company said, which allows the display to readjust automatically for easy viewing on desktop computers, smartphones and tablets.
“Businesses need to function on-the-go, which means you can't always work at stationary computers,” said John Fischer, vice president of sales and marketing for MAM.
“We see more and more companies incorporating mobile strategies into their business, so we're making that transition easier by enhancing our software with mobile-friendly features.”
The new release will also feature an update to the Tire Fitment Guide: Tire lookups will display whether TPMS and/or run-flat tires were OE on the vehicle. MAM reported all OpenWebs catalogs and screens will be incorporating responsive design in the near future.
OpenWebs connects tire and auto service stations with their customers, providing online ordering for lower costs and increased productivity. MAM said customers access the system using standard web browser software — such as Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc. — that displays options like order history look-up, customer messaging, inquiry and ordering, accounts receivable and statement access.
