“Our customers will benefit from a broadly experienced customer service, marketing and sales team that specializes in Goodyear and other brands.”
Tire Country is leasing the locations, both of which previously were distribution centers; the London facility previously was a Goodyear Wholesale Tire Center.
The Vaughan location opens with 11 employees and eight delivery trucks, while the London site has three employees and four trucks.
Tire Country's new wholesale centers will offer 57,000 square feet of warehouse space, enabling the wholesaler's inventory and supply management team to ensure that dealers have the right products when they need them.
Tire Country carries more than a dozen brands, but features Goodyear, Dunlop, Kelly and Sailun.
Based in Edmonton since 2001, Tire Country has been a Goodyear wholesale distributor for more than 10 years. The company's other warehouses — in Delta, British Columbia; Calgary and St. Albert, Alberta; and Winnipeg, Manitoba — span more than 400,000 square feet combined, according to the firm's website.
As for continued growth, Tire Country said: “We're continuously evaluating our growth opportunities; we look forward to serving these new markets.”
