KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Aug. 27, 2015) — CCW Forged Performance, a division of Weld Racing, has launched the race-inspired Daytona Series of two-piece forged aluminum wheels, designed for the pro-touring market.
In a press release, Keith Kern, general manager of CCW, said the Daytona Series was engineered from years of CCW track experience to produce a unique, strong and lightweight wheel.
“Each design features aggressive race-inspired styling with depth and dimension not commonly found in a two-piece wheel,” Mr. Kern said. “Construction begins with forging the center section out of premium 6061-T6 aluminum for superior strength. Each center section is then precision CNC machined to exact tolerances.
“After machining is completed, we powder coat the center section using only the best and most durable powder coat materials to provide a great custom finish and long lasting protection,” he added. “We then mate the center section to a high-quality polished 6000 series spun aluminum rim at the offset specified. The result is the highest quality wheel, tailor-made for each customer's car.”
Each Daytona Series wheel is available with wheel backspacings in 0.25-inch increments and multiple finish options.
Weld manufactures forged race wheels for dirt, oval and drag racing, along with wheels for performance street cars and trucks. Each Weld wheel is precision engineered for maximum performance on the street, off road and at the track, the firm said.
