SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (Aug. 20, 2015) — Federal-Mogul Motorparts is now offering to North American service providers and consumers Ferodo brake pads for European passenger vehicles.

The division of Federal-Mogul Holdings Corp. said the pads are fitted as original equipment on eight of Europe's top 10 best-selling passenger car models. With more than 200 part numbers, the new offering of Ferodo Premier pads covers 95 percent of European passenger vehicles in North America, including the approximately 15.4 million European models registered in the U.S.

The company said each pad set includes advanced, OE-quality friction formulation and other features that it claims offer “superior stopping power” while outperforming the competition in benchmark tests for low noise, braking consistency, durability and wet and dry braking.

“Many owners of European vehicles strongly prefer genuine, OE-quality replacement brake pads that provide the enhanced stopping and superior control they experienced when their vehicles were brand new. Now those same OE-preferred pads are available

directly from Europe through leading North American parts distributors,” said Christopher Battershell, director of brake product management, North America, for Federal-Mogul Motorparts.

Federal-Mogul claims Ferodo is Europe's number one brand of friction products.

The Southfield-based company sells and distributes a portfolio of OE and aftermarket products that include braking, chassis, wipers and other vehicle components. Federal-Mogul's aftermarket brands include ANCO wiper blades; Champion spark plugs, wipers and filters; AE, Fel-Pro, FP Diesel, Goetze, Glyco, Nüral, Payen and Sealed Power engine products; MOOG steering and suspension parts; and Ferodo, Jurid and Wagner brake products.
