ALLENTOWN, Pa. (Aug. 14, 2015) — Auto repair shops that use MAM Software Group Inc.'s Autocat+ cloud-enabled automotive industry catalog will now have access to the latest Mopar-brand product information, thanks to MAM's being approved by FCA US L.L.C. to receive the catalog.
MAM said Autocat+ offers the speed-to-market benefits of using the cloud to publish new information and updates that its catalog delivers.
Mopar was trademarked in 1937 with the launch of an antifreeze product, gaining even more success during the muscle car era with the addition of performance parts and services. Today, Mopar is FCA's (Fiat Chrysler Automobile) service, parts and customer-care brand. It distributes more than 500,000 parts and accessories in over 150 markets around the world.
“We are very pleased to be approved by Mopar, and we look forward to offering the brand's line of products through Autocat+,” said Patrick Maley, president of MAM Software.
“MAM's ability to process updates efficiently means our mutual customers will benefit not only from both having access to the data but also knowing that their searches will always include the latest products Mopar has available.”
MAM said Autocat+ uses cloud technology and the industry's ACES and PIES standards to publish product updates to all levels of the automotive aftermarket distribution chain. Through the program, the company can publish supplier updates in as little as a week, making the data available quicker to its customers and eliminating monthly maintenance needed to load new information.
