MEXICO CITY — PAACE Automechanika Mexico City, an annual feature of the Mexican aftermarket supply industry's calendar since 1999, drew large crowds over three days in mid-July.
Four hundred and seventy companies from 25 countries had booths at the three-day show — but not one was a tire maker. Hundreds of tires were on display, of course, but they were attached to the 120 customized cars exhibited on the floor of the Centro Banamex exhibition center in Mexico City.
And there were some fancy looking wheels gracing the event, as illustrated in Tire Business' photo gallery from the show.
The gallery includes photographs of event organizer Messe Frankfurt's Vice President Michael Johannes and other dignitaries at the ribbon-cutting ceremony prior to the doors being opened July 15.
