Hankook's Euro HQ gets new marketing director

NEU-ISENBERG, Germany (July 30, 2015) — Hankook Tire Co. Ltd. has appointed Antal Takacs as marketing director at the company's Hankook Tire Europe headquarters.

Among the main tasks for the 46-year industry expert will be the further development of the pan-European pricing strategy and the reinforcement of Hankook's Europe-wide marketing strategy, the tire maker said.

“Our current aim is to optimize our pan-European marketing strategy so that we meet our clients' needs professionally and strengthen the brand awareness all over Europe”, said Ho Youl Pae, head of Hankook Tire Europe.

Mr. Takacs holds two Masters degrees — one in engineering and one in economics — and more than 20 years of experience in the automotive and tire industry. According to Hankook, he has experience managing both pricing at Porsche Hungaria Kereskedelmi Kft in Budapest and product marketing for Group Michelin in Paris  and Clermont-Ferrand, France.

Prior to joining Hankook, Mr. Takacs spent three years in the B2B financial sector as head of marketing and sales support for Alter Domus, an international provider of funds and corporate services based in Luxembourg, where Hankook said he implemented a customer relationship management platform and was responsible for the organization's rebranding project worldwide.

Tony Lee, vice president sales and marketing at Hankook Tire Europe, called Mr. Takacs “a specialist,” noting that “as part of the ever-increasing internationalization, it is especially important to further develop and professionalize our pan-European processes between marketing, product management and pricing.
