COLUMBUS, Ohio (July 17, 2015) — Boyd's Tire & Service Center is sponsoring its 9th annual All About Autism Car, Truck and Motorcycle Cruise on July 25.
The Autism awareness event is one of many charity and philanthropic efforts the company said it sponsors, also working with causes like the American Cancer Society, Recreation Unlimited and the NBC4 BowlAThon, donating as much as 15 percent of sales.
All seven Boyd's locations are in partnership with the Autism awareness event, being held at the Quaker Steak and Lube in Columbus, starting at 11 a.m. The rain date for the event is July 26.
The Cruise-In will feature food and drinks, music, kid's activities and more, Boyd's said, and will include T-shirts, trophies, raffle items, dash plaques for the first 100 entries and People's Choice judging. Sports cars, classic cars, trucks, muscle cars, tuner/sport compact cars, low riders, exotics and motorcycles are all welcome at this fun and inclusive event.
Innovations like horse and animal therapy, iPads for nonverbal children, seminars on proper nutrition and others have all been proven to help those with Autism.
Boyd's Tire has put a focus on community outreach and has been recognized for its efforts, including being one of three recipients of Mighty Auto Parts' “Mightiest of the Mighty” award.
