THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (June 24, 2015) — AskPatty.com is organizing a “Women in Automotive” Convention to assist auto dealerships with recruiting, retaining and developing female employees and leaders.
The inaugural conference will be held Aug. 19-20 at The Ballroom at Church Street in Orlando, Fla.
The three-day conference will include a recruiting event, speakers, breakout sessions, workshops and booth displays.

Among the speakers slated for the event are: Tammy Darvish, executive vice president of PenFed Credit Union; Shea Holbrook, a professional racecar driver and co-owner of Shea Racing; and Lisa Copeland, managing partner of Fiat of Austin, Texas.
Women make up 17 percent of employees at auto dealerships, according to the National Automobile Dealer Association, so AskPatty.com said it is “working diligently to raise this number, beginning with this event.”
The registration fee is $249 with the option of bringing a second attendee for free.
