RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (June 23, 2015) — Giti Tire (USA) Ltd. has taken the wraps off a new website aimed at providing auto and motorsports enthusiasts with an inside look into the GT Radial-brand teams competing in Formula Drift.
Formula Drift fans will get the inside scoop from GT Radial drivers Conrad Grunewald, Kyle Mohan and Chelsea DeNofa on how their teams are preparing for each round of competition, including what Giti described as “the hectic pace of Formula Drift weekends and post-competition analysis.”
The new website www.gtradical.com features a gallery of action photos and videos shared by the drivers, like Ms. DeNofa's popular “Say Howdy” video series. Giti is encouraging site visitors to join the GT Radial and drivers' social media sites to share their thoughts.
“This new website is designed to connect GT Radial with enthusiasts by allowing them to get up close and personal with the professionals competing on our Champiro SX2 tires in Formula Drift, as well as with fellow enthusiasts who share their passion for driving in amateur competitions on paved and off the road courses,” said Mike Meeiem, motorsports marketing manager for Rancho Cucamonga-based Giti Tire (USA), the sales, marketing and distribution company for Giti Tire Group in North America.
The company said its GT Radial brand is an active supporter of enthusiasts at the grassroots level, and the website offers details on GT Radial contingency programs for those competing in club events with SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) and NASA (National Auto Sport Association). Enthusiasts also can learn how to obtain special pricing on tires and other benefits when they qualify as a “GT Radial Brand Ambassador.”
The GT Radial brand entered its second year of competition in Formula Drift this year with the three veteran drivers. Giti said it captured its first Formula Drift win in April when Mr. Grunewald and his Always Evolving/Replay Camera Chevrolet Camaro outmatched Robbie Nishida and his Lexus SC300 for the KMC Super Drift Challenge held on the streets of Long Beach, Calif.
Giti Tire Group, based in Singapore, operates eight manufacturing plants and produces a broad range of tire products serving major original equipment vehicle manufacturers, auto-service outlets, tire dealers and consumers in more than 130 countries worldwide.
In addition to GT Radial, GITI Tire (USA) Ltd.'s www.giti.com brand stable includes Primewell, Dextero, and Runway tires for high performance vehicles, passenger, SUV, light truck and medium trucks.
