RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.—Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc. has hired Jim Mayfield, a tire industry veteran with more than 34 years' experience, as its national vice president of sales and marketing.
Most recently, Mr. Mayfield served as senior director of product planning and technical services for Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp.
Mr. Mayfield will take over sales responsibilities left open when former National Vice President John Hagan left Kumho in March to join Linglong Tire Co. Ltd. after just 15 months with South Korea's Kumho Tire Co. Inc. subsidiary.
Mr. Mayfield joined Toyo last August after leaving Del-Nat Tire Corp. amidst an executive shakeup and Del-Nat's eventual demise.
Besides Toyo and Del-Nat, Mr. Mayfield previously worked for Continental Tire the Americas L.L.C. and Michelin North America Inc.
Kumho Tire North America President and CEO Harry Choi said Mr. Mayfield “will bring new innovative ideas developed during his long history in the industry. We welcome him and know that his leadership will bring prosperity to our sales and marketing divisions as well as Kumho Tire as a company.”
