DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (June 9, 2015) — Tire distributor Zafco International Inc. is calling its appearance at the recent Automechanika Dubai show a success, with foot traffic at its booth “substantial enough” to generate for its brands a considerable number of leads from various countries.
A subsidiary of Dubai-based Zafco Trading L.L.C., Zafco said it presented five brands from its portfolio to “thousands of visitors coming from different parts of the world, especially Africa and Middle East” at its booth. There, in addition to the company's own brand Zeetex brand, it also displayed tires from Otani Tire Co. Ltd. of Thailand, China Manufacturers Alliance L.L.C. and its Double Coin brand, and the Accelera and Forceum brands — products of Indonesian tire maker P.T. Elangperdana Tbk. that Zafco distributes in North America. Also on display were Zeetex batteries and lubricants.
During the trade show Zafco also drew showgoers with a “Net the Ball” activity, where contestants had to net a football in a tire basket; winners received footballs.
In addition, the company said an Automechanika Academy session organized by Business Guide Africa helped Zafco promote its offerings to potential customers from Africa.
“Just like last year, (the) Zafco team is making sure to make the most out of those leads and expand the business by building long-term relationships because ‘Growing Together' is what Zafco believes in,” said Raghavendra Sanga, head of product communication and marketing for the firm.
In 2012, as part of an expansion of its U.S. retail business, Zafco acquired the Martino Tire & Service Centers chain in South Florida, but it since has sold them to Monro Muffler Brake Inc.
