BOWIE, Md. (June 8, 2015) — The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has released a basic Industrial Tire Service (ITS) Program, a 200-level training and certificate program focused on pneumatic, solid resilient, press-on and polyurethane-filled tires used in industrial applications.
Like all of the association's training programs, it comprises different modules and covers the service procedures for different types of tire and rim assemblies.
Technicians who successfully complete the final exam and skills demonstration in the Basic ITS Program will receive certificates of completion, TIA said.
The price of Basic ITS training is $295 for TIA members, $600 for non-members. The price includes the Instructor's Guide, an instructional DVD and one student workbook, TIA said.
Further student workbooks cost $55 each for TIA members, $85 for non-members, according to TIA. Additional tests are available at $30 each for members, $60 each for non-members.
Basic ITS training also will be available at TIA's Online University by year-end, the association said.
