JINJIANG, China (June 5, 2015) — Dunlop Taikoo Aircraft Tyres Co. (Jinjiang) Ltd. has hired David Shen, an aircraft industry engineering veteran, to be its general manager.
Mr. Shen joins the tire distribution and retreading facility, a subsidiary of Dunlop Aircraft Tyre Co. Ltd., from aircraft engineering company HAECO-Xiamen, where he had been senior manager of business improvement and lean development.
He has more than 17 years of technical experience within the aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul industry, according to Dunlop Taikoo.
“David brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will help us build on our success in the Asia-Pacific region,” said Ian Edmondson, chairman of Dunlop Aircraft Tyres, in a statement.
Dunlop Taikoo, which opened in November 2009, is a joint venture involving Dunlop Aircraft Tyres, which is the majority shareholder; Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd.; and Taikoo Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. (TAECO).
It serves aircraft operators throughout Asia-Pacific and as well as airlines from countries including Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Philippines and Taiwan.
