NEU-ISENBURG, Germany (May 26, 2015) — Signage for Hankook Tire Europe G.m.b.H. will be on prominent display as the 2015 UEFA Europa League Final soccer match takes place May 27 in Warsaw.
The tire maker, which has been an official partner of the league since 2012, said it has “successfully concluded all preparations for the upcoming football final in Poland.” The company plans to launch a number of “massive football fan engagement activities” and promotions in the heart of Warsaw as well as next to the Polish National Stadium to showcase its “Driving Emotion” spirit to the public, clients and fans, Hankook said.
In the Old Town of Warsaw at Castle Square, Hankook said it has built a 130-square-meter brand area — within the UEFA neutral fan zone — showcasing its premium tires and simultaneously offering such diverse football-related activities as target shooting, face painting and fan photography.
Outside the stadium, the tire maker is displaying two promotional stands that include a selection of its premium product range, and it also will have a giant inflatable Hankook tire set up at the stadium's entrance.
As official partner of the league, Hankook said it has “used this fruitful partnership to invite many of its business partners, clients and fans to football matches throughout the season. In the past three years of the sponsorship, the tire maker has invited more than 10,000 customers and fans to UEFA Europa League football matches from all over Europe.”
Ho Youl Pae, Hankook's COO for Europe and the CIS, called the company's football partnership with UEFA “the perfect tool to promote our premium tire brand to the pan-European public far and wide. Hankook is a company which has a strong commitment to sports competition, and it is with great excitement that we look forward to the upcoming UEFA Europa League Final in Warsaw.”
Tony Lee, vice president of marketing and sales for Hankook Tire Europe, added that for the football final the company “is inviting hundreds of its business partners from more than 18 countries; we are convinced that this event will strengthen our customer relationships and open new opportunities for the future.”
Hankook has been actively promoting the UEFA Europa League Final in Warsaw on its website and via social media campaigns on Twitter and Instagram. One of the campaigns featured the “Hankook Fan's Final,” where fans could win a trip to the Warsaw final. Winners will have the opportunity to “play on the same pitch as the finalist teams” on May 28, the day after the final, at the National Stadium in Warsaw, according to the company.
Hankook Tire's European headquarters are located in Neu-Isenburg. The company also operates other subsidiaries in Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
