BOLOGNA, Italy (May 19, 2015) — Nexen Tire Corp. will debut an alpine winter tire for passenger cars, the Winguard Snow'G WH2, at the 26th edition of Autopromotec.

The trade show runs May 20- 24 at the Bologna Trade Fair Center in Bologna.

Seoul, South Korea-based Nexen said it will showcase 12 products under the categories of winter, passenger, SUV and OE tires for the European market in exhibition area hall 20, booth C50. In addition to the new Winguard Snow'G WH2, the tire maker will have on display its portfolio of winter tires including the N'priz 4S and Winguard WT1.

“We are thrilled to present our high quality tires and performance-driven technology at Autopromotec 2015 for the first time,” a company press release said. “We expect it to be a great opportunity to enhance our presence and ultimately to expand supplies of original equipment tires for the European market.”

Nexen did not say if any of the tires are destined for North America.

The company said it has continued to increase its supply of OE tires for various makes and models from leading European car manufacturers including Volkswagen Group and Fiat Chrysler Automobile.

Nexen's booth also will include its concept zone “SEEK” — Safety, Emotion, Ecology, Keen — technology that features its Noise Free System and high-performance tires made from natural vegetable oil.

Autopromotec is an international exhibition of automotive equipment and aftermarket products that takes place every two years. According to promoters, this year's edition is expecting 1,587 exhibitors from 47 countries.
