SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (May 12, 2015) — Federal-Mogul Motorparts' Champion Spark Plug brand is plugging the return of its popular “King of the Road” contest, which crowns an unofficial “hottest ride” in North America.
As it did last year, the latest version of the contest will again pay out $10,000 to owners of the “hottest rides across North America,” according to the company.
Federal-Mogul Motorparts, a division of Federal-Mogul Holdings Corp., will award 10 weekly $500 cash prizes and a $5,000 grand prize to winners as judged by members of the “Performance Driven” Champion online community. Consumers can vote weekly for their favorite ride, with each round's winners receiving $500 and an automatic entry into the $5,000 “King of the Road” grand-prize round.
Consumers can enter the contest by submitting one or more digital photographs, Federal-Mogul said, as well as interesting background information about their vehicles through the “King of the Road” link. The contest opened for entries May 11 and voting begins May 18.
“From grassroots enthusiasts to some of the world's best-known professional racers, Champion is all about helping customers maximize the performance of their vehicles,” said Jessica Wynn, global director, digital marketing and strategy for Federal-Mogul Motorparts. “The ‘King of the Road' contest recognizes and rewards the passion that fuels today's most exciting vehicles.”
The competition's 2014 winners included the grand-prize winner 1967 Chevrolet Camaro of Tim Kowalchick of Jacksonville, Fla. To check it out click here.
