ARLINGTON, Va. (May 7, 2015) — The Automotive Service Association (ASA) has elected Donny Seyfer of Seyfer Automotive in Wheat Ridge, Colo., as chairman for 2015-16.
“I am very excited about where ASA is going,” Mr. Seyfer said. “We're in the midst of reorganizing our business model, and we are building up our industry relationships and want to get more members involved in the association.”
Mr. Seyfer's father, Don Seyfer, was ASA chairman from 1996-97. He was installed as chairman at the association's annual business meeting in Arlington on April 21.
The other members of the ASA board of directors include:
• Darrell Amberson, LaMettry's Collision Inc., Minneapolis, Minn., immediate past chairman;
• Roy Schnepper, Butler's Collision Inc., Roseville, Mich., chairman-elect;
• Bill Moss, EuroService Automotive, Warrenton, Va., secretary/treasurer; and
• Ed Cushman, C&H Foreign Auto Repair, Spokane, Wash., general director.
Messrs. Amberson, Schnepper, Cushman and Seyfer were elected to two-year terms, while Mr. Moss transferred to the secretary/treasurer position from a general directorship.
In addition, Scott Benavidez was elected to a two-year term as Collision Division director.
The ASA's next national event is the NACE | CARS 2015 expo and educational conference in Detroit July 23-25.
