AKRON (April 28, 2015) — BKT USA Inc. has hired industry veteran Brian Robinson as vice president, responsible for enhancing BKT's OE and replacement sales in the U.S.
Mr. Robinson brings 24 years' experience to his new job. Most recently he was director of business development/general manager for American Tire Distributors Inc., based in Totowa, N.J., according to his LinkedIn page. Prior to that he held sales positions with Hercules Tire & Rubber Co. for three years.
“Brian is enthusiastic, entrepreneurial and a dynamic leader with accomplished experience,” said Rajiv Poddar, joint managing director of BKT. “We are looking forward to having Brian build a very strong and effective team, which will take this company to the next level.”
A graduate of San Jose State, Mr. Robinson will join BKT's North American team in Akron. His industry resume includes experience in areas such as sales, team development, operations, profit/loss management, strategic planning, marketing, profitability and customer experience, BKT said.
BKT Tires USA is a subsidiary of India's Balkrishna Industries Ltd.
