MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill.Private label tire marketer Vogue Tyre & Rubber Co. is tapping into a wider market with its Signature V Black SCT, a line of tires targeted for the SUV, crossover and light truck market.
Available in seven 18-, 19-, 20- and 22-inch sizes, the line is Vogue's first all black sidewall offering, according to Vogue President Greg Hathcock, who said this launch is an opportunity to share our know-ledge and enthusiasm for engineering superior, passion-fueled products to a more widespread audience....
The tire, produced for Vogue by China's Sailun Tyre Co. Ltd., features wide, circumferential grooves in the tread design for all-weather traction and better handling in wet weather conditions. A newly designed tread pattern, formulated with exclusive sloping elements, provides a quiet ride over the life of the tire, the company said.
Mr. Hathcock said Vogue is offering competitive pricing for the line despite the elevated import duties it must pay on products sourced from Sailun. Vogue told its dealers last year it was preparing a line targeted at the SUV/crossover segment.
The tire is designed with an advanced, silica-infused compound designed for improved traction and responsiveness, as well as a broad shoulder element design for greater handling confidence, according to the tire marketer.
The Signature V Black SCTSCT stands for SUV, Crossover, light truckis backed by Vogue's Century of Craftsmanship Pledge, which includes a 60,000-mile warranty and a 30-day Buy and Try guarantee. They are all rated 460-A-A on the Uniform Tire Quality Grading system.
