PLYMOUTH, Minn. (April 22, 2015) — Countrywide Tire & Rubber Co., an international wholesale distributor of tires, inner tubes and wheels, has been acquired by Chad Isaacs, a 16-year company veteran who has served as its president for the past nine years.
Countrywide was established in 1976 by Bob Stone and Ben Broder, who sold the firm to Mr. Isaacs for an undisclosed amount.
The Plymouth-based company did not specify how many employees it has, nor how many distribution centers it operates or their locations.
Its exclusive brand is RubberMaster. According to its website, Countrywide carries low speed tires; ST radial trailer tires; high speed trailer tires; all-steel trailer tires; low platform tires; light truck tires for trailer-only use; ATV tires; agricultural tires; forklift tires; wheels and assemblies. For retreading, it offers envelopes; pre-cure tubes; and heat-resistant flaps.
Last year the company launched Distribution Network Affinity (DNA), a new umbrella distribution program covering its “LINK” direct container program and “Select” warehouse program. Through LINK, Countrywide's logistics department provides communication between its factory and customers, who receive shipping updates such as departure from the factory, arrival at a U.S. port, delivery release and a post-delivery follow-up.
Mr. Isaacs began his career at Countrywide in 1998, working initially in the company's Operations Division, before being promoted to president in 2006.
The specialty tire marketer said it has “a creative and experienced team of professionals that focus on leading with a nationwide presence in the industry through the wholesale, retail, commercial and government business segments.”
In a company press release, Mr. Isaacs said he is “incredibly excited to purchase a company with 39 years of history in the specialty tire and inner tube industry.
“I am confident that my commitment to excellence in customer service, innovations and high-quality products will help carry on the legacy of quality this company was built on.”
Going forward, Countrywide said that through the “preeminent business vision, leading-edge ideas and expert implementation” of its president and new owner, Mr. Isaacs “will lead positive changes for the future of the company, as well as the tire and wheel industry.
“With Chad's direction and leadership, Countrywide will continue to grow and make advancements in the industry to benefit their customers and business partners.”
