PHOENIX (April 15, 2015) — NitrogenMan L.L.C., which claims to be one of the first companies to offer drive-through nitrogen inflation, has introduced “The Topper” nitrogen generator.
The company is calling it a “revolutionary new nitrogen generator” that's the most compact of its kind on the market. It uses a Parker Hannifin Corp. nitrogen membrane, according to NitrogenMan, to produce nitrogen for tire inflation while tipping in at a “conveniently sized” 24 inches tall by 18 inches wide and 6 inches deep.
Frank Ruscitti, owner of NitrogenMan — which claims it was “the very first to provide mobile (nitrogen inflation) service to customers — said the firm has a “hit the road” philosophy when it comes to nitrogen.
“What makes The Topper groundbreaking is there's nothing else like it on the market," he said. "It delivers the portability never seen in the industry.”
With all the unit's components mounted in a steel enclosure and wall mounted, Mr. Ruscitti suggested The Topper is ideal for auto service businesses such as quick-lube operations. The unit can be plumbed to existing top-off inflators and, because of its size advantage, comes complete and ready to use.
The Topper includes a two-gallon storage tank that, according to NitrogenMan, “provides the convenience of fast top-offs with little line pressure loss.” It is priced at $1,999.95 plus shipping costs, the company said.
Phoenix-based NitrogenMan said the goal of Mr. Ruscitti, who spent 30 years in the automotive industry, “was to make nitrogen tire inflation available to everyone — not just those who drive for their living.”
The firm also is a supplier and distributor of Haltec and Branick nitrogen inflation systems.
