LUSBY, Md. (April 6, 2015) — Ashland Inc.'s Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) brand has opened a drive-through oil change location in Lusby.

The service center, located at 11755 Rousby Hall Road, was built from the ground up, Ashland said, with the new building “outfitted with cutting edge tools along with a team of certified technicians.”

Like other Valvoline locations, the Lusby outlet offers an array of preventative car maintenance services that include transmission services, tire rotations, battery replacements, serpentine belts, wiper blade and light bulb replacements along with 15-minute-or-less oil changes, according to the company.

Valvoline operates approximately 900 VIOC locations throughout the U.S,

In addition to commercial and industrial lubricants, the Valvoline product family includes Eagle One appearance products, Car Brite car restoration products, Zerex antifreeze, SynPower performance products, MaxLife petroleum products created for higher-mileage engines, and NextGen motor oil created with 50 percent recycled, re-refined oil.

The first franchised VIOC service center was opened in 1989 by Henley Enterprises Inc., whose CEO and co-founder Don Smith developed the company specifically to operate VIOC facilities under franchise agreements with Valvoline Instant Oil Change Franchising Inc., according to Kentucky-based Ashland. As of September 2014, the Henley Companies operate more than 200 VIOC franchise locations spread across California, Delaware, Florida, Michigan, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Virginia.
