Video: Conti's Chmiel discusses 'rejuvenated' General brand

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Continental Tire the Americas L.L.C. has refreshed and expanded the General Tire commercial tire brand, and is backing the relaunch with a marketing/advertising campaign highlighting the brand's 100-year history and a nationwide road show designed to reinforce the brand's image.




In this video, shot at the recent Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Alex Chmiel, Conti's director of marketing, commercial vehicle tires, the America, outlines some of the highlights of the General Tire relaunch and other Continental commercial tire happenings.

The marketing/advertising campaign — dubbed “Powering the Future” — features images drawn from the early years of General's history as a truck tire used on some of America's iconic construction projects.
