Carlstar names exec VP of sales

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (March 31, 2015) — Carlstar Group L.L.C., which manufactures specialty tires, wheels and industrial belts, has appointed Laren Harmon as executive vice president of sales.   

Mr. Harmon, who reports to newly named CEO John Salvatore, will lead the implementation of global growth strategies and emphasize customer satisfaction, according to Franklin-based Carlstar. He will oversee the firm's U.S. tire and wheel sales organization as well as customer service.

The company said Mr. Harmon “brings a proven track record of leading and supporting successful sales organizations, with over 17 years of sales and leadership experience in the automotive industry.” He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Furman University and a master's in business administration from Florida State University.

Carlstar is the former CTP Transportation Products L.L.C. The company offers performance products for OE and the aftermarket with brands including Carlisle belts, tires and wheels, Ultimax powersports belts, ITP tires and wheels, as well as Cragar, Black Rock and Unique wheels.
