NORCROSS, Ga. (March 26, 2015) — Mighty Auto Parts is working to inform consumers of the importance of preventative vehicle maintenance through a new series of educational animated videos.
“Car owners today can research virtually everything they need to know about their vehicles online,” said Gary Vann, senior vice president, sales and marketing for Mighty. “Because we believe an educated consumer is our best customer, we're endeavoring to make them more aware of the servicing needs of all their vehicle's major systems.”
Each of the new videos runs approximately two minutes or less and features concise, clear explanations of key vehicle services, along with descriptions of benefits consumers gain by having them performed.
In all, Mighty said it plans to produce 15 videos. The first eight already have been produced and can be found on Mighty's YouTube channel.
The available videos include:
- What type of oil do I need? — This video is meant to help consumers understand the difference between conventional, synthetic blend and full synthetic motor oils. It also covers high mileage oil.
- Should I follow the manufacturer's maintenance schedule? — Every vehicle has a manufacturer recommended preventative maintenance schedule. This video explains the typical services included, normal and severe use schedules and why following these schedules is important.
- Why should I service my fuel system? — In this animation, consumers will learn about how dirt, carbon and other deposits adversely affect the efficiency delivery of fuel and how to deal with it effectively.
- How often should I change my oil? — This video aims to teach consumers how often they should change their oil, as well as why it needs to be changed regularly.
