Openbay supports Apple Pay

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (March 19, 2015) — Openbay Inc., an online and mobile marketplace for consumers to find, book and pay for local auto repair and maintenance services, now supports Apple Pay's availability on its mobile app.

Using Apple Pay can be beneficial for both the automotive repair shop and for the consumer, the company said. Consumers can use the easy and secure option of paying for automotive repair and maintenance services with just a tap using Apple's payment service, according to OpenBay, while providers benefit by lowering their risk of responsibility for fraudulent charges. Businesses may now accept Apple Pay without having to upgrade their point-of-sale terminals, the firm added.

Apple Pay is available to those with recently released iOS devices  iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch.
