Atlantic Tire mgr. re-certified as tire specialist

RALEIGH, N.C. (March 18, 2015) — Jason Browder, a manager with Atlantic Tire & Service, recently completed the Michelin Learning Institute (MLI) Tire Specialist Certification program.

Mr. Browder has worked for Atlantic Tire for 18 years and has 21 years in the automotive industry, according to the company, which operates three automotive care and repair centers in the Triangle area — Cary, Durham and Raleigh., N.C.

The MLI training program consists of five modules: tire basics, passenger, light truck, sport UHP and Winter. Each segment involves intensive learning material and concludes with a knowledge check, according to Atlantic.

Individuals who continue to take MLI training courses each year remain current with products on the market along with their technology, engineering and performance characteristics, which the dealership said is “key for delivering important product knowledge and recommendations to consumers.”

Mr. Browder has completed the Michelin training regimen five years in a row, said an Atlantic press release, noting the dealership “prides itself on its experienced mechanics and technicians who continue to enhance their skills in order to provide outstanding service. All of Atlantic Tire & Service's team members are highly trained ASE or TIA Certified technicians.”

Owner Anthony Blackman opened the dealership in December 1998. In 2013 it was honored with the Eastern Better Business Bureau's Torch Award for excellence in service and ethics.
