The company's Fairlawn office primarily is repsonsible for its agricultural and industrial product lines.
BKT opened a separate office last year in Brentwood, Tenn., to handle sales and service for the firm's mining and heavy construction tire products. It hired former Bridgestone Americas and Yokohama Tire Corp. executive Shawn Rasey to head up that unit.
Mr. Mehta joined BKT from Hercules Tire & Rubber Co., where he was director of commercial tires marketing.
He has more than 40 years of international experience in business, mostly in the U.S. and Canada, according to BKT.
