BOLOGNA, Italy (March 6, 2015) — Brazilian retread materials producer Borrachas Vipal S/A opened a sales office Bologna in January, its fifth such office in Europe.
The operation will serve the Italian market, where demand for Vipal's products grew 13 percent in 2014, according to the company. Opening an office follows Vipal's policy of being close to customers at all times, it said, with the initiative an important part of the brand's growth strategy for the region.
“The simplification of sales processes is key to providing a fast and high quality service to our clients,” said Alessandro Campos, general manager of Vipal Europe.
With the latest operation, Vipal said its Italian clients “will enjoy both operating and administrative benefits in addition to logistics improvements.” Initially, the office's sales will be managed by the Vipal distribution center in Slovenia, near the Italian border.
Vipal said it exports to approximately 90 countries worldwide and has four distribution centers in Europe — in England, Germany, Slovenia and Spain — along with warehouses in Australia, Mexico and Colombia as well as three in the U.S., in Florida, Virginia and California, and three plants in Brazil.
The company was founded in 1973 in Nova Prata, Rio Grande do Sul. It has 3,000 employees worldwide.
