Palfinger names exec VP of sales

NIAGARA FALLS, Ontario (March 6, 2015) — Service truck and liftgate maker Palfinger USA Inc. has named Tim Arkilander executive vice president of sales and business development for its North America operations, effective March 2.

Mr. Arkilander, who will report to Mark Woody, managing director of the Palfinger North America Group, has more than 30 years of industry experience, according to the company. He will be responsible for all of its articulating cranes, including the PK, PW and PC product lines, Palfinger Epsilon forestry and scrap cranes and Palfinger truck-mounted forklifts.

“Based on his extensive engineering background and highly customer-oriented outlook, Tim is the ideal leader to take the core products of Palfinger to the next level,” Mr. Woody said. “We look forward to leveraging his experience to offer the best value solutions to our customers.”

Palfinger said it looked to Mr. Arkilander to “strengthen the innovative lifting, loading and handling solutions offered to key industries in North and Latin America.”

Founded in 1989 in Niagara Falls, Palfinger North America Group consists of six manufacturing locations, 10 wholly-owned distribution locations and a staff of more than 1,000 employees serving the North and Latin American markets.
