LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (March 3, 2015) — Aftermarket industry veteran Max Dull has been named vice president/general manager of the Alliance Parts Warehouse (APW).
Little Rock-based APW is a multi-purpose enterprise and auto parts distribution facility that services members of the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance (AAPA) and is owned jointly by the shareholders of the Alliance.
“We are fortunate to pair someone with Max's diverse global sourcing and product background with an operation that holds such strategic significance to the Alliance's future,” said John R. Washbish, AAPA president and CEO. “APW has always been a solid operation but its strategic potential has never been fully realized.”
He added that Mr. Dull “will bring three things to the party: an open mind; a ton of experience and a strong desire to get things done.”
In addition to his long involvement with Clevite Engine Parts, Mr. Dull's background includes stints in management with AE Components Eastern of Hong Kong, Dana Corp., where he chaired the Global Strategic Sourcing Team, and as vice president/general manager and eventual owner of Beck/Arnley Worldparts. Most recently he was general manager of Mahle Service Solutions' tool & equipment division.
Mr. Dull said the uniqueness of the business model between the APW and the AAPA “enables the Alliance to ‘incubate' products and programs that initially might not be able to stand on their own. That presents Alliance members with a host of category management solutions with an offering of products tailored specifically to Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper competitive needs.
“The potential for APW to continue to contribute in this way is limitless.”
The APW handles products from over 80 manufacturers — including exclusive Alliance brands such as Perfect Stop, Parts Master and Autobody Master — for weekly shipments to Alliance shareholders in the US, Canada, and Mexico.
