“VF tires play a key role in the Mitas product offer and we have assured that we will be constantly introducing new dimensions and tire designs,” said Pavel Kott, Mitas' agricultural tires product manager.
The range extension of VF tires, with three new sizes, demonstrates our dedication to meeting that goal.”
Mitas' Very High Flexion tires are available in these sizes:
- 380/105R54 HC 2000 (new)
- 600/70R30 HC 2000 (new)
- 710/70R42 HC 2000 (new)
- 380/95R38 HC 2000
- 480/95R50 HC 2000
- 380/90R46 HC 1000
The company said the VF 600/70R30 HC 2000 and VF 710/70R42 HC 2000 sizes are designed for high-horsepower tractors. Mitas VF 710/70R42 has a “B” speed category allowing speeds of up to 50 km/h, boasting a maximum load of 7,750 kg under 1.6 bar.
Mitas' Agriterra 02 and Agriterra 03 flotation radial tires range extension includes nine sizes that will be available in March.
One of the main advantages of Agriterra tires is their low operating costs, according to Mitas, with a positive impact on fuel consumption.
Agriterra tires features larger tread voids, improving its self-cleaning properties. Additionally, Mitas claimed that its flotation tires have an 11-percent larger tread contact area than premium competitors and 22-percent larger than competitors with a traction type of tread pattern.
“Flotation radial tires are intended for use on the heaviest agricultural implements, such as slurry tanks and grain trailers,” Mr. Kott said. In the first quarter of 2015, Mitas will have in the product offering 12 variations of flotation radial tires.
