MIAMI (Feb. 10, 2015) — Team Penske “elder statesman” Helio Castroneves is scheduled to make a guest appearance at the upcoming North American Tire & Retread Expo in New Orleans.
Currently ranked second in the Izod IndyCar Series, Mr. Castroneves will be signing autographs and taking photos on April 15 at the Firestone Racing Tires booth at the Expo, which runs April 15-17.
Mr. Castroneves became the first driver to have back-to-back wins at the Indianapolis 500 in his first two starts at the Brickyard in 2001 and 2002, then won again in 2009.
In May of 2010, he released a book — “Victory Road - The Ride of My Life” — about his life and how he's met its challenges.
According to Expo promoters, Mr. Castroneves is planning to enter the 2015 racing season to again compete for the Verizon IndyCar Series championship for Team Penske as well as battle for a record-tying fourth Indy 500 victory.
