TRW expands sales management team

LIVONIA, Mich. (Feb. 10, 2015) — TRW Automotive's North American aftermarket division has hired Chris Sumrell as sales manager for its Eastern U.S. parts and service business.

A 30-year automotive aftermarket industry veteran, Mr. Sumrell last worked at Honeywell Friction Materials L.L.C., where he most recently served as manager of program group and Canadian sales, TRW said.

“Our aftermarket business is growing rapidly,” said Mark Thorpe, sales and marketing director, North America, TRW. “To ensure

we are well-placed to meet the ever-changing needs of our expanding customer base, we are further building on our experienced and successful team.

“Chris is well-known and respected throughout the industry, with a strong track record of delivering excellent business results,” he continued. “He is the right person to further develop the TRW brand and continue the success story of TRW's aftermarket activities in this region.”

Mr. Sumrell, who will report directly to Mr. Thorpe, will be based in Greenville, S.C.
