    Crain News Service report

SEREGNO, Italy (Feb. 10, 2015) — Balkrishna Industries Ltd., also known as BKT Tires, has launched a redesigned website.

The company, based in Mumbai, India, said the website offers updates on manifold initiatives, products, markets and innovation in the agricultural, industrial and off-road tire sector.

Technical data sheets and photographs of BKT's lineup are available in several off-highway tire segments: agriculture, earthmoving, industrial and port applications, ATV and gardening. Information can be sorted according to the type of application or the specific machinery, the tire maker said.

BKT said the website's Tire Care & Safety area contains information about off-highway tire handling, maintenance and mounting. The site offers information specific for distributors, journalists and BKT partners.

The site has links to all corporate social media, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube, as well as a corporate blog and a forum for users to share news, topic-related information, trends and other information about off-highway tires.

The site is accessible through tablets and smartphones and, according to the company, soon will be available in Italian, French, German and Spanish.

The BKT group manufactures off-road tires for the agricultural, industrial, earthmoving, mining, ATV and gardening sector. The company has four subsidiaries in Europe and North America: BKT Europe S.r.l. in Seregno; BKT Tires USA Inc. in Akron; BKT Tires Canada Inc. in Toronto; and BKT Tires, Inc. in Brentwood, Tenn. It has five production sites in Indian and employs more than 6,000.

This report appeared on the website of Rubber & Plastics News, an Akron-based sister publication of Tire Business.
