SAN DIEGO (Feb. 9, 2015) — Custom alloy wheel producer HRE Performance Wheels has added a dedicated line of aluminum wheels for light trucks, the TR1 Series, to it portfolio.
HRE originally launched the TR40 Series in 2012, the first Monoblok wheel series developed by HRE specifically for the light truck market, the company said. Over the last few years, the demand for more styles and fitments has grown and HRE developed the TR1 series.
The TR1 lineup features HRE's Monoblok technology and conical profiles that have been adapted to the truck market to create a stronger and lighter weight wheel for street and light off-road applications, the company said.
The series includes the five-spoke TR105, six-spoke TR106, the seven-spoke TR107 and the TR109 — all specifically engineered to reduce weight but still support the load of today's half-ton pickups and SUVs, the company said.
The TR1 line is available in 20- to 22-inch diameters with widths ranging from 9 to 12 inches and is available in both five- and six-lug configurations with an open PCD.
“This is our second addition to an expanding line of SUV and truck wheels,” said HRE President Alan Peltier. “We wanted to evolve the designs into something that fits with the styling of our current line-up and the latest luxury SUVs, along with reducing weight while exceeding OE safety standards.”
Each wheel is built-to-order with numerous fitment, color and finish options, the company said.
