DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (Jan. 20, 2015) — Nexen Tire Corp. has established a division responsible for managing its business throughout the Americas.

The new division will be located at Nexen Tire America headquarters in Diamond Bar and headed by B.W. Lee, previously vice president of Nexen Tire Korea (NKT).

The new division, Nexen North & South American Head Quarters (AHQ), will strategically manage the American markets, including Canada, Mexico, and South America, and develop strategies to help drive brand awareness and recognition on the high quality products and services Nexen Tire has to offer, Nexen Tire America said.

James Kwon will continue as CEO of Nexen Tire America, responsible for the U.S. market.

Prior to joining Nexen Tire Korea four years ago, Mr. Lee headed the sales and marketing team for electronics manufacturer Samsung Group for 30 years.

He has experience in sales and marketing overseas, according to Nexen, including assignments in the United Kingdom, South Africa, Poland, Russia and Dubai. Mr. Lee's contribution to NTK assisted in doubling the company's sales since his arrival.

“We are expecting a lot of growth within the North American tire industry, including Canada, and because of this I would like to expand our network and maximize our growing Nexen brand awareness,” Mr. Lee said.

In the Americas, Nexen already has sales subsidiaries in Canada, Nexen Tire Corp. in Markham, Ontario, Mexico and Brazil.
