NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 16, 2015) — Bridgestone Americas has doubled the size of its Dayton brand truck tire line to eight patterns, including three SmartWay-verified/California Air Resources Board compliant options.
The product expansion coincides with the launch of a Dayton website and tagline, “Tires for Truckers.”
Bridgestone relaunched the Dayton medium truck tire line in 2013 after a two-year retirement as a “value line” for independent owner-operators and small fleets.
“With this next-generation Dayton lineup we are better positioned to deliver a full range of quality products at an incredible value,” said Matt Loos, director of truck and bus marketing, Bridgestone Commercial.
“Truckers wear many different hats, and they need to get where they are going with as little downtime as possible,” he said. “Dayton tires are for truckers; affordable and dependable, our tires keep drivers moving day in and day out to help protect their bottom line.”
Bridgestone is sourcing the Dayton line from overseas but did not say from which country or countries specifically.
The revamped Dayton lineup, available in the U.S. and Canada, includes:

The company had discontinued the line at year-end 2010 as part of a move to simplify the product offering.
