CENTREVILLE, Va. (Jan. 15, 2015) — Carfax Inc. has enhanced its Carfax Service Network by tagging its participating dealerships and aftermarket service locations as a “myCarfax Service Shop” so as to be more recognizable to potential customers.
The shops also will benefits from ongoing enhancements to the myCarfax mobile app that can help increase new service business and improve customer retention, according to Carfax, a unit of IHS Inc.
“This is a huge leap forward that delivers even more value to our member shops,” said Vern Poyner, general manager at Carfax. “Expanding Carfax Service Network is a direct result of the success we've had connecting myCarfax users with trusted service locations in their area. More connections mean more business and more satisfied customers.”
Member shops will receive new myCarfax-branded point-of-sale materials for display in their shop or service bays free of charge. Other benefits, such as shop ratings and reviews, and mobile coupons on the myCarfax app, will be rolled out over the next few weeks, the company said.
There are more than 33,000 participating locations across the U.S. becoming myCarfax Service Shops, the company said.
Carfax provides vehicle histories for used car buyers, sellers and the automotive industry and maintains a database comprising more than 14 billion vehicle history records from more than 92,000 sources worldwide.
