Mr. Harris earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Missouri, TCG said, and then became laboratory manager of Langston Laboratory in Kansas City, Mo., before moving to serve as vice president of Langston Laboratory of Puerto Rico and lab manager and development director of Missouri Chemical, a division of Farmland Industries.
He began his tire industry career at Michelin North America Inc.'s research and development facility in Greenville, S.C. While there, he was responsible for the concept-to-launch of innovations and products for original equipment and replacement market tires for passenger, light truck and heavy truck vehicles, TCG said.
Both internally and externally he consulted with Michelin's North American and international employees and clients on a range of issues, including: tire knowledge; market characterization by product categories; consumer segments and price tiers; strategies; opportunities and recommended actions; brand essence; and competitor landscape, etc.
Mr. Harris has earned several professional awards and commendations over the years, TCG said, including “Polaris” and “Marvel” awards for excellence in marketing and Design School Instructor Awards. Additionally, he holds two scientific patents and a marketing patent for the logic of the tire selector,
TCG provides consultation in sales, marketing, operations, supply chain logistics, strategic planning, research and analysis in marketing, production, pricing, financial analysis, and competitive trends to manufacturers, distributors, retailers, financial institutions, activist investors, etc. in the North American tire market.
