DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (Jan. 5, 2015) — The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) plans to auction off its SEMA Cares Jeep, featured in Omix-ADA's Off-road Success Center at the 2014 SEMA Show, with the proceeds going to the trade group's charitable efforts.
The Jeep Wrangler JK Sport is scheduled to hit the auction block at 8 p.m. EST (5 p.m. PST; 6 p.m. MST) on Wednesday, Jan. 14, handled by classic car auction firm Barrett-Jackson.
SEMA said the “special Jeep raises awareness for SEMA Cares' charitable efforts within the automotive aftermarket.” It was purchased using funds from the 2013 SEMA Cares donation by Omix-ADA — a manufacturer and wholesale distributor of aftermarket replacement Jeep and Willys parts and accessories. The Jeep Wrangler JK Sport was customized through a collaboration between Omix-ADA and the Alex Xydias Center for Automotive Arts.
