BATON ROUGE, La.The Louisiana Independent Tire Dealers Association (LITDA) will induct Paul Bernstein, president of Delta World Tire Co. of New Orleans, to its Hall of Fame.
LITDA said it will honor Mr. Bernstein at the 2015 Hall of Fame Induction & Tailgate Reception on March 7 at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center in Baton Rouge during its annual convention and trade show. He will be the third member of his family and fourth Delta World Tire employee to be inducted.
Mr. Bernstein was president of the LITDA from 2007-08 and has been on the board of directors since 2000. He was a member of Michelin's Dealer Advisory Council from 2004-12, serving as president for six years; and was a member of the Young Entrepreneurs' Organization and currently sits on the board for the Better Business Bureau.
Mr. Bernstein began working full time at Delta World Tire, the family business, in 1993, following in the footsteps of other Delta World LITDA hall of fame members: Abe Bernstein, Paul's great grandfather; Sterling Broussard Sr.; and Marvin Bernstein, Paul's father.
Delta World Tire Co. operates 16 retail locations and a Mighty Auto Parts franchise.
The LITDA said its hall of fame honors individuals who have played a significant role in the growth and development of the tire industry and the association.
