BATON ROUGE, La. (Dec. 22, 2014) — The Louisiana Independent Tire Dealers Association (LITDA) has elected Paul Bernstein, president of Delta World Tire Co. of New Orleans, to its Hall of Fame.

The LITDA said it will honor Mr. Bernstein at the 2015 Hall of Fame Induction & Tailgate Reception on March 7 at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center in Baton Rouge, La., during its Annual Convention and Tradeshow. He will be the third member of his family and fourth Delta World Tire employee to be inducted.

Mr. Bernstein was president of the LITDA from 2007-08 and has been on the board of directors since 2000. He was a member of Michelin's Dealer Advisory Council from 2004-12, serving as president for six years; and was a member of the Young Entrepreneurs' Organization and currently sits on the board for the Better Business Bureau.

“I am honored to be inducted into the LITDA Hall of Fame,” Mr. Bernstein said.

Mr. Bernstein worked at Delta World Tire, the family business, while growing up and attended high school in New Orleans before graduating from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, the LITDA said.

In 1993, he began working fulltime with the company, following in the footsteps of other Delta World Tire LITDA hall of fame members: Abe Bernstein, Paul's great grandfather; Sterling Broussard Sr.; and Marvin Bernstein, Paul's father.

Delta World Tire Co. operates 16 retail locations and a Mighty Auto Parts franchise.

Mr. Bernstein lives in New Orleans with his wife Jennifer and their three children; Olivia, Abe and Kate. The LITDA said Mr. Bernstein volunteers in his community and at his children's schools, in his spare time, along with being an avid golfer.

The LITDA said its hall of fame award is given to the individuals who have played a significant role in the growth and development of the Tire Industry and the Louisiana Independent Tire Dealers Association. The Hall of Fame Induction & Tailgate Reception will both honor Mr. Bernstein and give those in attendance a chance to network during the evening celebration.

Tickets to the Hall of Fame Reception are $85 per person. For more information on the Hall of Fame Reception and the LITDA 2015 Annual Convention and Tradeshow, please visit the LITDA website at www.litda.org, or contact the LITDA office at 225-767-7640 or [email protected].
