NORCROSS, Ga. (Dec. 18, 2014) — Tire distributors from New York, North Carolina, Ohio and Virginia are among the companies that became Mighty Auto Parts franchised distributors in the past year, according to Mighty Distributing System of America.
The four tire dealers that became franchisees this year are:
- Griffin Brothers Tire of Charlotte, N.C. — founded in 1961 and led by Larry Griffin Jr.; 10 locations in the Charlotte area.
- Trombley Tire & Auto of Canandaigua, N.Y. — founded by Richard Trombley in 1958 and now under the direction of Richard's son Tim; operates six locations in New York's Finger Lakes region.
- Boyd's Tire & Service Center of Columbus, Ohio — founded in 1996 by Keith Boyd; has seven locations in central Ohio.
- Virginia Tire & Auto of Fairfax, Va. — founded in 1976 by Myron Boncarosky and led by his son-in-law, Mike Holmes; operates 13 retail locations in northern Virginia.
Mighty said its franchise network now includes 25 tire dealer groups, representing more than 375 locations.

“Establishing their own distribution division provides a consistent, OE quality product offering for each of their retail tire stores and creates a new source of revenue and profits.”
