SOUTH BEND, Ind. (Dec. 16, 2014) — Online and mail order tire retailer TireRack.com has pledged itself to be one of the corporate partners with the White House and the U.S. Department of Transportation on their new program to promote tire safety and fuel efficiency.
“Together with a select lineup of tire manufacturers, fuel distributors and tire retailers. TireRack.com commits its full support to the newly announced initiative by displaying the campaign information, infographic and Be TireWise Guide prominently on its website,” TireRack.com said in a press release.
Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx announced the program at a White House press conference Dec. 9, at which he designated Dec. 9-Jan. 9 as Tire Safety Awareness Month.
Besides TireRack.com, the corporate partners in the tire safety initiative include Bridgestone Americas, Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., Goodyear, Michelin North America Inc., Pirelli Tire North America Inc., Toyo Tire North America Inc. and Yokohama Tire Corp.
