AKRON (Dec. 9, 2014) — Automotive and tire service tool maker Ken-Tool has released its 35361 Automotive Wheel Weight Hammer, designed for installing and removing clip-on wheel weights for cars and light duty trucks.
The hammer measures 11.5 inches long and 3.5 inches wide, and it features a non-marring, replaceable polyvinyl strike face. At 7/8-inch in diameter, the strike face is ideal for all car and light truck applications, Ken-Tool said.
The fiberglass handle is ergonomically designed to provide technicians comfort with or without gloves, Ken-Tool added. The handle and rubber grip are shock resistant and do not transmit as much vibration as steel-handled wheel weight tools, according to the company.
Ken-Tool said the 35361 works with all types of clip-on wheel weights, including lead, zinc, steel and coated ones. The anti-marring strike face protects the surface of aluminum wheels, painted wheels and chrome plated wheels alike.
Each hammer is packaged in a hanging bag suitable for retail display, Ken-Tool said. Included in the packaging is an additional chromoly removal hook.
In addition to the hammer, Ken-Tool also is releasing its Automotive Wheel Weight Hammer Refurbish Kit (No. 35362), which includes a replacement anti-marring impact face, chromoly steel hook, hook set screw and a hex-key wrench.
